Agency Objectives

  • To arrange for the support of families through providing options of respite & crisis care to assist in avoiding the removal of children, adolescents or adults from their families and community in the least restrictive manner.

  • To provide substitute care only as a last and only when such care is seen to be the least restrictive and detrimental available alternative for the child.

  • To promote the principle of normalization and integration for all children in care.

  • To support the family in the promotion of primary social values consistent with what is in the child’s interest.

  • To maintain the child’s physical, social emotional and cultural needs.

  • To protect children from abuse and exploitation by offering a place of safety.
